figure out your place, where you wana be e.g - post production, set design, etc etc.

put his work down a lot but i could see he had come a long way. even though he lacked a little confidence, did stuff for channel 4. did vis com at uni.
illustration agents, check if there are other agents out there for different things environment etc...

read and listen to contracts to protect yourself.
find a commercial style to make money? - like his cath kiddson phone cover.
travel round drawing, painting hotels, living out of a backpack.
use twitter find other freelance people in your genre or different to collaborate and swap work.

always try and be playful dont just sit at your computer. for example find things that you can do randomly, logs, put face's on them.

think outside the box - a cap, stick match's on it to make something else.

learn how to make contracts.
if someone contacts you and doesn't have a clear structure it can be risky and not enjoyable.

make a small book of animations - like i did do once :) -

find a video of his mural - paint big things in layers. works better.

try new materials or your work will always look the same.

make a whole virtual world. set design - i like this kinda stuff :)

showreel has to be colourful and loud. correct timing and music
with a small bit of information about your self and maybe you?
try keep it at a minute of all your best stuff. keep it interesting and different all the way through.

render out in after effects or make all in after effects then put to final cut pro

make an effort find out what they do, don't contact through facebook for the big ones.

hardly any of the class will probs get jobs the thing to do is though. not give up. keep working and working even if it's crap. don't give up. mix it up.
