inserting camera and guy
run cycle
how to add a light and shadow changing it
remember to put light in correct direction
adding a halo, you can also change intensity etc...
i decided to add my own little twist and make a story out of the run cycle, like he's running away from a boulder. I also added another light
as you can see from the second light added the lighting is much better now
camera effects are here - a good one to use is grayscale
here's grayscale, if you add noise and glow to you can create a kind of crackle effect like an old tv screen
here's what it looked like at the start
i added in another story element for the fun of it, if you look close you can see another constructor flattened by the boulder :)
make a wall for the camera, select a camera to render texture on. drag from hiarcy to selected wall.
yay! done - select target texture. select camera
after positioning everything well
done! looks much better now
mouse orbit select object you want to orbit around
here the camera task annabeth wanted us to do - move the camera from his feet to his head, it was annoying and i struggled at first but i'm sure after doing it a few times it will be pretty easy
how to bring up the animation graph, or you can use shortcut cmd + 6
remember -click little blank space - create new clip
don't forget to add curves on the correct position
using the graph was the hardest part for me as i've only used maya's one once and i haven't learnt after effects yet so graphs are always a hard one for me. I need to work on this this year if i want to create more of a flow in my animations etc
*refer to my book for step by step if i forget how to do this*
how to change the grid layout (it's in the top right hand corner)
select camera and do this to bring it into camera properly
remember to remove all conflicting components or else it won't work
done! here's a screenshot from the bottom of the feet, i'll upload a short clip of the shot later.
