Modelling and texturing in maya

Modelling this time for me came much easier after just practising, the one thing i need to work on a lot is the typology, i really don't understand the concept of it and what is correct. Something kept happening with my maya and unity at home and red flares came up when i tried to change vertices, still don't know why it did this but i worked around it difficulty :/ 


Just making sure i do simple things that make the job easier, combing and grouping together, deleted history and freezing transformations etc...


Here's the finished models, simple but exactly what i need to just fill the scenery. 


And here's after adding textures, i used some from CG textures and the others i painted myself. I'm not very good at this and want to get much better as i seem to be ok at painting terrains but not textures  Maybe this is something to do with me not being very good at photoshop?

Don;t ask, i have no idea what i was trying to achieve here....


Getting a bit better here using CG textures and fancy writing to create the grave stones


same goes for the sign post i wanted them to look realistic in the land
